We use the right to charge additional fees for items that pose unusual difficulties when scanning or printing. This works because a photo of an object is legally classified as « artistic work » and is therefore protected by copyright. Therefore, where copyright on the work itself (for example. B for objects belonging to an archaeological collection) no longer exists, there are rights to photographs of objects.
These special photos cannot then be used without permission and owners can charge a fee.
